yep, penguins.
we've been reading the book and this morning, we are off to see the play. it should be interesting.
everyone in our group will be dressing in white & black so that we all look like penguins. minime started looking for her outfit several days ago - and has had to put it on, if only for a few minutes, everyday. She's so excited about this monthly outing of her little book club.
as for me - i'd rather be home, getting ready for the expo...
update: although my brain is all abuzz with plans for the expo, we thoroughly enjoyed the play. seeing little kids dressed as penguins and tap dancing just lifts you up. KWIM?? hahahaha We also enjoyed lunch at a local eatery and watched the kids share their projects based on the book. 'officially' this is the end of our book club. it was only meant to go thru the summer - but it looks like everyone has enjoyed it so much that we are going to extend our run! i can't wait to explore more books with minime. we both enjoy them so...

I often remind myself to stop from wanting to be elsewhere when I'm having to do something with my daughter that I'd rather not do. I remind myself to just enjoy my time with her, that too soon she will stop seeking my company, sitting in my lap, telling me her stories, holding my hand, or caressing my face. I remind myself to pay attention to these fleeting moments and allow the day's activities to etch themselves in our memory. Have a wonderful time today and please remember to take your camera. Your readers are expecting to see your photos.
