passing down the favs...

well, i finally managed...

i rented a set of 'the little rascals' shows. yep, these had been childhood favorites of mine. now stop - i'm not that old! i wasn't born when they were filmed or first shown! heck, even my mother wasn't yet around! nope. but, i was around when tom hatten used to host the 'family film festival' on channel 5 every saturday and sunday afternoon. i would wait for 3pm to roll around to see what wonderful old movie or show would come on. and, unless it was this, i was in front of the tv.

today, netflix delivered to my door - "the little rascals"!!

i wasn't sure if minime would enjoy them, but i had to try - without making too big a deal about them, for fear that it might then put her off. i put them into the dvd player and sat on the bed next to her. she LOVED them! yea!!! ok - i'm clearly overlooking the racist stereotypes of blacks. i know, but it also allows for lots of conversation about the same. i still can't resist cause the comedies are just (otherwise) so darned cute!

and just as i was putting her to bed, she *asked* if in the morning, we could watch more. of course....

and now - as my gift to you, "the little rascals" and "our gang"...
