the countdown is on...

we are now at the point of counting the day - just DAYS - before the homeschool expo! i'm so excited i could burst!

I also have a ton of things to do to prepare. with two sessions to teach, there is much preparation going on. it's a little scary cause i just don't feel like i'm "ready". but then - what exactly is that? i think when you are a presenter, you don't feel ready until it's all over and there is no major disaster!

as i mentioned, i'm teaching two sessions. have i already mentioned what they are? hmmm, maybe i have - so i won't bore you all over again (and considering so many of you probably already know!) but i'll leave you with two obvious clues:

(hold your horses! we aren't witches or promoting such a thing! it's just for fun. afterall~ what kid wouldn't want a learning environment that's full of fun, fantasy and creativity?)

and for the second:

yeah, what could be better than a day of having fun AND learning at the same time!?!

it's exciting and terrifying at the same time. and in-between all of this - I have one day of pure play planned. hanging at the pool, hanging with friends and playing with mimime. oh, and maybe i'll check out some of the other sessions too! lol

so - wish me luck. i keep imagining the last session, and just falling flat on my face - with attendees walking out of the room. they won't do that - will they??

ok, back to making plans. and drinking wine...

thing a day...

so a friend told me about a site where you post something that you do everyday. it can be a craft, a list - just anything. i guess the goal being to set a goal and accomplish it every day. i need this. of course, the minute she told me about the site while at the park with our lil'dancers, i forgot the name of the site. but, she pulled thru and sent me the link. i won't complain that i didn't actually see the email until after the deadline to register. i guess that somehow "technically" falls under the realm of it being my fault. blech. whatever...

the site you ask? it's here. i'm intrigued with the concept. *i* want to be a part of it! don't they know it's ME??? what's up with shutting down the registration before *i* have signed on? sigh...

so i've enlisted my crafty clan to do the same thing - but better! why will ours be better? well, because its US. soap, belfry and me. dragonfly artisans. anything they can do, we can do better. hahaha

and i'm off. i don't know what i will accomplish today. my brain is still recovering from the "2nd Annual (Un)Official Homeschool day" it was 2 full (and might i add - early morning) days for us. Y.E.S. classes, character breakfast, official photos, sing-a-long on the Columbia and rides, rides, rides. i'm tired. but i'm determined to do a "thing a day" today.

stay posted... a photo of todays accomplishment will be posted here - tonight.

What is it today?

What to accomplish today? I've so much to do - you can't imagine! Hurricane girl-child has been thru this old house several times - and she's not even awake yet! I haven't the energy or will to deal with it right now. So what to do?

Well, we are in the process of clearing out our "extra" room (a term used LIGHTLY, as space of any kind around here is premium) to make a bedroom for said child. But between man-child's work schedule and girl-child and I running around the city doing 'school' - we are rarely home at the same time to finish clearing it out. Can't have man-child moving my stuff, I'd never find it again. So it waits...

I have MANY crafty things to work on. Journals, cards, tags all need to be made. I had great success last night when I started on a "Countdown" calendar for child to enjoy leading up to Christmas. I'm still glowing from it - but I don't want to work on any of that stuff right now.

There are always the requisite dishes in the sink, laundry overflowing and yard to work in (whoa! did I just say 'work in the yard'? LOL yeah - like I've EVER done that! Let's just say there is lots of house work to deal with. Yeah, that's better). I don't want to do ANY of that.

I'm going to Disneyland...
