ok - first, as promised!! ta-da!!! here is my first EVER knitted ANYTHING! yes, i used a loom - but that's knitting too, right? now on to my hat...

and finally...

what i'm MOST proud of today. minime managed to get thru a dentist appointment! Yay! you see, last year when we did it, it was an hour of trying to get her to open her mouth for the 7 minute cleaning. this time, it only took about 3 minutes and AND, she then let them go back in and put a sealant on one (JUST one) of her permanent molars. the other must wait 6 months for the next appointment. two others may require additional work. x-rays will reveal just *what* at that next appointment. but otherwise, mr dentist assured me that her teeth are otherwise in very good condition.

i must also brooch the subject of spacer retainers to her dad. considering we just made insurance decisions and can't change until october - he will NOT be happy. sigh...

ok, so i'm a little early. you see - i'm making up for the fact that i never got around to holiday cards. i do mean christmas and new year holidays, you do understand. so i'm trying to be all prepared and everything and get started. these i made last night. i played with some of my stamps and new colored pencils and markers. i have no idea what the next set will look like - just stay tuned...

Getting Started...

i don't really know where to start. i'm learning. i'm a mom. a crafter. a 'jack of all trades' - i do - or at least try - a little of everything. today it's blogging.

my day was COLD. our heater isn't turned on yet and my blood is still set to a 'summer' thermostat. but no time to worry about that. i have journals and cards and paper crafts to work on. i'll post pics as i get them going. i really do LOVE paper stuff.
