food & shoes...

happy thanksgiving!

today was a nice day. crafting in the morning and a big, home-cooked meal (cooked by someone else) in the afternoon. that's the life! I hope you enjoyed your holiday, too.

and, the shoes? just this little $15 pair that minime is currently enamored with - that she will try to wear to bed and that likely won't leave her feet for the next few days. i can't tell you how many times she's exclaimed to me about "how cute" they are or the fact that she "just loves these shoes!"

as much as i'm a 'shoe collector' myself, i honestly don't buy her many. her feet grow quickly, and we are not the type of people who get dressed up a lot. so, she wears crocs and tennis shoes. dress shoes just aren't a part of our regular shopping. so, when she gets them - it's a BIG deal.
very simple, ballet flats. i must admit - she looked darling in her shoes, and the entire outfit! but you'd think the only thing new she had on - were these shoes.

it really is the simple things in life...
