Caught...

belfry (still looking for a "good" name for her) posted that I said I "never start a new year with a messy home". Well, I must confess that 2008 started with, yes - a messy home.

I proudly say that it wasn't nearly as messy as it could be. Or even nearly as messy as it had been earlier in the day. You see - I tried! My mother instilled in me - many years ago - that you should always start the new year with a clean home. Alas, "the way your home is when the New Year starts, is the way it will stay throughout the year". sigh...

Well, my house has been a disaster zone much of the year (tells you a little about the start of 2007, huh?). So, I belatedly decided that I must get some control for 2008. I also went back to some of the principles of FlyLady. My house motto: Progress, not perfection. And that's what my house had when I rang in the New Year - Progress.

I'm still aiming for that "clean house" for 2009 - but for now, I'm getting there "15 minutes at a time".
